St. Michaels Parish Mission

St. Michaels Parish Mission was held Monday, September 28 – Thursday, October 1, 2009

The missionaries were Father Paul Bryan, a Redemptorist priest from Ephrata, PA and Sister Mary Sninsky, a Franciscan sister from Reading, PA.

It gave us a chance to check out your spiritual life, do some deeper praying, and come out of the mission with a clearer vision of what your mission in life is!

CELEBRATING GOD’S UNCONDITIONAL LOVE

WHAT IS A MISSION? The mission is a great time to get in touch with where we are spiritually. God is always calling us to newness of life. A parish mission is a moment of grace, to become more aware of God’s action in our lives. It offers an opportunity to hear God’s Word proclaimed in Scripture as well as through the life, learning and personal experience of the preacher.

MISSION PROGRAM

Morning theme was on Discipleship:

The Challenge of Discipleship; The Cost of Discipleship; The Promise of Discipleship; The Reward of Discipleship

Evening Service talks focused on our Relationship with God:

God’s Love: unconditional and everlasting; Holy Spirit’s Work: empowering and freeing; God’s Forgiveness: reconciling and healing; Mary’s Place: mother and companion on our journey
